SAFRAN

Almost 50 corporate professionals from nine countries have visited UT Dallas to participate in a leadership development program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. This custom-designed program for Safran Corporate University is a collaboration between the Texas-based university and Safran, a $15 billion Paris-based aerospace, defense and security company. Gustavo Castillo, Safran’s program manager, says the UT Dallas program was “a great fit for us.” The leadership development program for High Potential Mid-Level Leaders combines online learning with classroom sessions. “We were awarded a contract to design, develop, deliver and provide all program oversight for six programs,” said John Fowler, director of Corporate Education. UT Dallas also was awarded a five-year contract to deliver a management development program targeting High Potential First-Line Leaders. Preparatory online sessions included accounting, finance, strategy and practical applications of business theory. The classroom sessions cover leadership, cultural awareness, strategy, organizational development, finance, Lean Six Sigma and supply chain management, among other key topics. The program uses business cases, experiential exercises, textbooks and videos. Each group also participates in a corporate improvement project delivered to Safran’s senior executives. The program is delivered by UT Dallas faculty in France, China and the United States. This program is representative of the depth and breadth of educational experiences that Corporate Education at the Naveen Jindal School of Management has to offer.

Infigen Energy

A group of 25 corporate professionals from Australia and the U.S. visited UT Dallas to participate in a leadership development program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management. The program was custom-designed for Infigen Energy, a developer, owner and operator of renewable energy-generation resources, with interests in Australia and the U.S. The program was delivered in partnership with UT Dallas Corporate Education, the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and Infigen. Craig Carson, CEO of Infigen USA, said, “UT Dallas has done a great job. The session of Continuous Improvement was great and dead on with our needs – exceeded my expectations.” The leadership development program brought senior leaders and high potential leaders together for a five-day classroom-based experience that combined modules on leadership, continuous improvement, coaching, and team-building activities delivered by UT Dallas and AGSM faculty, business coaches who are alums of UT Dallas’s Organizational Development and Professional Coaching program and other experts. The Corporate Education division of Executive Education was awarded the contract based on its ability to develop curriculum, and to lead and deliver the core modules. Corporate Education works in-depth with the clients to provide solutions to their specific leadership development needs through customized programs.
